Pinstriped suits

Pinstripe suits have a long history of power-dressing. Most typically pinstripe suits are associated with gangsters in the 1920's or the go-to attire for classic business men. Who doesn't remember the Wolf of Wall Street? Today the pinstripe suits have worked themselves into a wardrobe classic and comes in different varieties. Pinstripes ranges from micro stripes to broader pinstripes and the contrast between the actual stripes and the underlying fabric can be vastly different when looking at your striped suit from distance. When choosing a pinstripe suit we recommend to take how you want your height to be perceived, since vertical stripes prolong the shape of your body. A good tip is therefore to add a double-breasted buttoning to equalize the visual appearance or choose a pinstripe fabric with less contrast between the stripes and the foundation. Be aware of that micro striped suit can appear as a solid colored one from distance and that very broad stripes rather will be perceived as a patterned suit rather than a pinstripe one.
